Dr. Yuexian Shi is National Board Certified in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental   Medicine   (NCCAOM)  and   licensed  to  practice acupuncture in Florida.  Prior to his  professional  training in Chinese Medicine, Dr. Shi earned his MD degree (China) at   the Beijing  Medical  University​, one  of  the  top  medical schools in China.  He then obtained his Master's Degree and Doctorate of Medicine from the Bio-medicine & Chinese Medicine program at the  Second Medical University of  PLA  and  Nan Fang University. After  his  residency  program  training, Dr. Shi worked in internal medicine and treated patients through methods derived from both Western and Chinese medicine. He has been successful in integrating the two treatments in his career.

Dr. Shi is well-trained in both Western and Chinese medicine. He has had more than 39 years of clinical experience in internal medicine. Dr. Shi has received many prestigious awards including "Outstanding Young Nephrologist of China,” "First Degree Award for Science and Technological Progress in Guangdong,"  and  "International Fellowship Award." He was an associate professor and vice director of the Department of Internal medicine in Nan Fang Hospital in 1995, and he taught Chinese  Medicine at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine (ATOM) as a visiting professor from 2010 to 2017 and taught acupuncture at NOVA university. He also has had extensive experience in basic science and clinical research  experience  in nephrology, cardiovascular diseases, and osteoplasty in Italy and the USA. His work has been published in many prestigious academic journals .
